Help Wanted–Pastor’s Wife

HELP WANTED—PASTOR’S WIFE POSITION: She must sing, play an instrument, lead Bible Study groups, teach a Sunday school class, raise exceptional children, and host visiting pastors and missionaries. She should be able to counsel other women in the church. She should have the credentials to be able to work in the Christian School and should be able to direct various school programs. She must have the ability to ignore difficult and demanding people. She should keep a neat and peaceful home so that the pastor does not feel stress when he is there. Her hours will be unpredictable, but her pay will be negotiable. Usual starting salary is $0. It can go up to $0 for doing an outstanding job.

Sometimes church members put unrealistic expectations on pastors’ wives but remember—your main job description is to please your husband and please your Lord!
