Have you ever wondered how you could help friends when they are grieving?
- Visit…but don’t stay too long or worry about making conversation. When grief is the freshest, the words should be the fewest.
- Take the initiative-recognize needs such as: provide food, provide housing for incoming relatives, do laundry, mow the yard.
- Send a letter of condolence describing happy memories that you remember about the one who has died and give hope from God’s Word.
- Minister to friends after death (1 month, 2 month, or 1 year anniversary).
