1) I will seek to be modest in my dress. Proverbs 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
I will not wear clothing that points to myself or my body. I will endeavor to dress as to please my Father in Heaven and His holiness.
2) I will seek to live a holy life. 1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
I will endeavor to make my speech, behavior, motives, love, faith, and purity an example for other believers. I will seek God’s will over the approval of anyone else on earth.
3) I will seek to be gentle and quiet. Proverbs 9:13 A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing… I will endeavor to not be undisciplined and without knowledge.
4) I will seek to care for our home and use our home through the ministry of hospitality.
Romans 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
I will endeavor to keep my home open and offer hospitality to those in need of friendship and encouragement.
5) I will seek to be a person who always tells the truth and can be trusted.
Jeremiah 9:5 And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity
6) I will seek to be prudent in financial matters.
1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
I will endeavor to be frugal in my daily life so that I will be able to give to the Lord’s work and to help others.
7.) I will seek to serve the Lord with all my heart and lead others to love and follow Him.
Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. I will endeavor to do my best for the Lord and will be willing to be stretched to promote God’s work and His Kingdom.
8) I will seek to maintain a good reputation for my family and my community.
Proverbs 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
1 Timothy 3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
9) I will seek to not only know God’s Word, but use wisdom to apply its precepts.
Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
10) I will seek to always be aware of pride and selfishness.
Proverbs 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
